The Alnavco meeting
in September 2005 for their 40th Anniversary brought together about 50 ship
collectors and master modelers. Paul
Jacobs, Bill Gilpin, Rudi and Egbert Kraus and Wayne Smith were all there to
meet and talk with about making the models. There were also a good number of
collectors displaying their largely Alnavco collections. It was great fun to
meet them and compare notes on building and painting the models. Finally, Sue and Pete Paschal and Pete Jr. were wonderful hosts and the
venue at the Nauticus Museum with the USS
Wisconsin moored right outside the window made the entire evening
a wonderful experience.
