After a refit in USA ,the light cruiser HMS Delhi of the D-class (first world war design, 4.850 tons/length 472 ft) appeared in a three-tone admiralty disruptive design and and with a unique armament. As such, she is shown here, in the Atlantic in 1942. This Neptun model (N-1148) received some modifications of the antennas, especially the British types on the top of the rangefinders instead of US-radars. The Delhi was the only British light cruiser to receive US 5"/38 single gun turrets like the Fletcher Class destroyers as well as US Mk37 directors.
